Bourbon whiskey is a type of American whiskey: a barrel-aged distilled spirit made primarily from corn. The name is ultimately derived from the French Bourbon dynasty, although it is disputed whether Bourbon County in Kentucky or Bourbon Street in New Orleans inspired the whiskey's name. Bourbon has been distilled since the 18th century. The use of the term "Bourbon" for the whiskey has been traced to the 1820s, and the term began to be used consistently in Kentucky in the 1870s. While bourbon may be made anywhere in the United States, it is strongly associated with the American South, and with Kentucky in particular. As of 2014, the distillers' wholesale market revenue for bourbon sold within the U.S. is about $2.7 billion, and bourbon makes up about two-thirds of the $1.6 billion of U.S. exports of distilled spirits.

We at Nelson's Green Brier Distillery are proud to kickoff our resurrection with the release of Belle Meade Bourbon! Originally produced by Charles Nelson in conjunction with Sperry, Wade & Co., Belle Meade Bourbon is a brand that dates back to the American pre-Prohibition era. Known for its bold character and smooth finish, Charles Nelson bottled and sold Belle Meade Bourbon in his day and we, his great-great-great grandsons, are doing the same today.
Nose Maple syrup and caramel with floral fragrances and a citrus zest
Palate Caramel and vanilla with bold rye spice and hints of apricot
Finish Long, smooth finish with mellow cherry and plum notes accented by cinnamon, all without the burn found in other 90 proof bourbons
TINCUP Bourbon
Distiller: Tincup
Region: Denver, Colorado
Category: Bourbon
Distillery:
TINCUP is my take on classic American whiskey. I wanted to make a whiskey with a bourbon style profile, but with a more powerful and spicy flavor. TINCUP has a high rye mashbill, so it's got great spice and pepper notes, but balanced with the sweeter notes from bourbon. It's made using Midwestern grains, aged in new American white oak barrels and cut with Rocky Mountain water.
Appearance Amber
Nose Distinctive aromas of toasted fruitcake, mint syrup, peppercorns, and faint menthol tobacco
Finish charcoal accented finish
